Ethnomathematics is a science that explores the existence of mathematical practices in a culture. This study has the potential for mathematics education, so exploring the existence of mathematics is always being developed through research. One of the cultural objects studied by the people is making Jong boats for the Malay people of the Riau Islands. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach. As the main instrument, researchers collect data through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis method follows the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and the conclusion-drawing process applied in each step of the ethnographic analysis. The research results show that Jong boat, as a traditional game vehicle, involves mathematical practices such as measuring, calculating, and designing with several mathematical concepts related to each of them, such as flat-sided three-dimensional figures, geometry, angles, comparisons, numbers, measurements with non-standard measuring units, and measurement using a hypothesis presupposes. This research contributes to recapitulating activities and mathematical concepts in making Jong boats. Thus, this research can have implications for Mathematics Education in the form of potential real and meaningful mathematics learning contexts.
